Cookie Policy.

Cookies we use

We keep it minimal.

Strictly necessary

REQUIRED

These cookies are required for the platform to function. They manage your session, protect against CSRF attacks, and remember your authentication state. They cannot be disabled.

Examples: Session token, CSRF token, theme preference.

Retention: Session / up to 30 days

Analytics

OPTIONAL

We use anonymised, aggregated analytics to understand how features are used and where users encounter problems. No personally identifiable information is sent to analytics services.

Examples: Page views, feature interaction counts (no user IDs).

Retention: Up to 12 months

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They allow websites to remember information about your visit — such as whether you're logged in or which theme you've selected.

We also use similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage for the same purposes described in this policy.

How to control cookies

Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies via their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from using CodeSpell.

To opt out of analytics, you can disable analytics cookies in the cookie preferences panel (accessible from any page footer). Your preference is stored for 12 months.

Third-party cookies

We do not use advertising networks, social media trackers, or any third-party cookies for marketing purposes.

If you connect CodeSpell to a third-party LMS, that LMS may set its own cookies subject to its own privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if we add or change the cookies we use. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice.
