A Big Month
for CodeSpell.

May was a good one. We ran a workshop at Escola Profissional de Aveiro, and shipped a feature we've been planning since the beginning. Here's what happened.

From the field: code quality in the classroom

On May 28 we visited Escola Profissional de Aveiro and ran a workshop on code quality with 50 students from 11th and 12th grade. The session covered the fundamentals of code quality — readability, complexity, and security — and ended with each group connecting their own project to CodeSpell and seeing their first automated analysis live.

What we covered

  • Code quality — What separates code that works from code that's good.
  • Real examples — Finding bugs in real Python code before CodeSpell revealed the answer.
  • Live analysis — Each group connected their project and saw their first automated analysis.
"Writing code is one skill. Writing good code is another. Last week was about the second one."
